Im Hochschwabmuseum wird der Wasserschatz Österreichs als Musterbeispiel für die logische Verbindung von Gewässer- und Naturschutz im Zusammenhang mit der Trinkwassernutzung dargestellt.
Nach 10-jähriger Bauphase wurde die Trinkwasserversorgungsanlage von St. Ilgen bis nach Graz im Jahr 1993 in Betrieb genommen. Seit diesem Zeitpunkt fließt Hochschwabwasser in steirische Haushalte. Der Betrieb der Wasserversorgungsanlage durch die Zentral-Wasserversorgung Hochschwab Süd Ges.m.b.H. (ZWHS) wird anhand eines Modells dargestellt.

vom „Stoasuacha“ aus Jauring
Der Hochschwab ist reich an „armen“ Lagerstätten, aber mit viel Geduld findet man docb schöne Mineralien und Fossilien. Im heurigen Jahr sind schöne „Stufen“ aus dem Hochschwabgebiet ausgestellt. Die Calcite stammen teilweise aus Höhlen, die Fritz Baierl – wie auch alle anderen Exemplare – für die Ausstellung zur Verfügung gestellt hat.
